Please find attached a flyer for a forum on the theme ‘Building resilient ecosystems in Victoria: what is our vision and how can we achieve it?’, to be held at Deakin University (Burwood Campus) on Thursday 12th April 2012 (week after Easter).

As you’ll be aware, there is increasing emphasis on building ‘resilience’ as a goal in land management and conservation.  This forum will bring together different viewpoints and experience to explore ideas and questions about resilience and its application to conservation and land management. It will be valuable for a wide range of people- scientists, land managers, conservation practitioners, and community members.   There is a great range of speakers who have agreed to be part of this forum – it promises to be a stimulating and informative day. There will be also be plenty of time for discussion of the issues and ideas raised.

It would be great  if you’re able to come and share your expertise too, and please pass this information on to your local colleagues and others.

Please note that registration is essential to allow for catering (there is no cost for the day for those attending). Information for registration is on the attached flyer.

Kind regards

Andrew Bennett
