The day will be based out of Yea and will cover the evolution of the landscape of the southern margins of the Strathbogie Ranges including, for example:
- Silurian sediments to the south,
- Metamorphic aureoles,
- Goulburn River evolution- paleochannels, isolation of the Tallarook Plateau,
- Fossil sites of the earliest land plants on the planet,
- Granitic landforms and nearby old volcanics (eg Mt Torbreck).
