The Strathbogie Ranges Biodiversity Program includes a variety of projects, for example-

Landscape Linkages- Connecting Landscapes and Communities .  Caring for Country Open Grant  $312,000 over 2 years Starting Date July 2011 – Completion date June 2013

The Strathbogie Ranges, Victoria, has a high diversity of habitat types, such as unique spring soak wetlands and granite outcrops. This project aims to carry out remedial work in its largely agricultural landscapes to restore ecosystem processes that underpin sustainable agriculture and natural systems. It will develop landscape plans that identify key habitat elements (remnant vegetation, riparian vegetation, rocky outcrops and wetlands) to construct a mosaic of strategic linkages (stepping stones and corridors), across 100 ha. A key component is to improve the knowledge and skills of farmers in adoption of activities and uptakeof management plans that contribute to conservation and protection of biodiversity.
